I am just a lucky girl. The girl who lives in the apartment below mine came up one night and asked if I wanted to go on a date. Well can I say no when I have so few opportunities? Nope! She explained that she and her roommate had already planned dates for that night before she found out that her friend was coming so she needed to find a date for him. She next went on to describe him. He was a long time friend who lived in Provo and is . . . 29! Ahhh! What did I get myself into? We were planning on going out for ice cream and heading to the park. Mind you this was in November! I bundled up and headed on my way. When I got to my neighbor's apartment, I found out that our plans had changed to pizza and a movie. This led to an awkward car ride with my date to pick up the pizza. There was a great lack of conversation except for a recap of my date's experience at Snow. We got back and I found out that my neighbor's had asked out two of my other neighbors Stetson and Jake. We were pretty surprised to see each other. By this time I was roasting because of all of my layers, but my one opportunity to change was taken away from me by Stetson who chivalrously offered to get ice for our drinks (I'm pretty sure that he was just looking for an escape). So I was dying of head and awkwardness. I ended up squished between my date and Stetson who was sitting by his date on a three person couch. It was pretty uncomfortable. Needless to say nothing came from that date other than a greater appreciation for non-blind dates! : )
